State Property Committee, Deloitte & Touche reps hold meeting
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officials of the State Property Committee of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the representatives of Deloitte & Touche led by senior manager on Central Asia Andrei Petrov on 12 March 2010.

It was said at the meeting that the State Property Committee welcomes interest of Deloitte & Touche to institutional reforms, carried out in economy of Uzbekistan, including in valuation activity.

During the meeting, the guests got acquainted with measures, undertaken by the Government of Uzbekistan, on improving valuation activity and raising service quality in the sector.

It was said Uzbekistan developed and approved “Main direction of developing valuation activity in Uzbekistan in 2009-2015” and the national standards of property valuation in privatization, business valuation and real estate valuation.

It was underlined that currently the growth is observed in valuation service market. Current market value is believed at 9.5 billion soums, while forecast for 2010 makes up 12-14 billion soums.

State Property Committee, as regulator of valuation market, is interested in presence of well-known international company like Deloitte & Touche in the market.

Deloitte & Touche delegation will its plans on entering market of Uzbekistan and supported work of the Committee in the market. The delegation expressed interest in expanding professional services, rendered by company, and readiness to contribute to development of market infrastructure and economic reforms in Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek officials handed over national standards of property valuation in privatization, business valuation and real estate valuation.

Deloitte & Touche representatives expressed hope for further cooperation with the committee.
