Head of department on introduction of ICT of the State Customs Committee Abdusobir Saidov said that the committee is introducing ICT due to laws “On electronic signature”, “On informatization”, “On electronic document turnover”, “On electronic commerce”, resolutions and degrees of the President and Cabinet of Ministers.

In the result of implementation of these documents, large customs terminals were equipped with X-rays, drug identification devices, radiation control, automobile scales, inspection optics, etc.

Currently, the committee introduces various automated information systems, ensuring collection, processing, accumulation, analysis, storage and transfer of data among various structures of the Committee in real time. Their use will allow to improve procedures of customs registration, efficiency of control, reveal violations of legislation, and etc.

Single automated information system of the State Customs Committee unite modern technologies into single network and allow to control all main functions and directions of its divisions. Connection of the system to system of other ministries, departments and organizations allowed to establish information exchange. The system has seven levels of protection, which allows to avoid external attacks.

Thanks to use of modern information technologies, the committee revealed 742 attempts of submitting declarations with lowered prices for goods. This helped to levy 1.3 billion soums to budget.

Soon, single automated information system will be able to identify number plates of cars for further control of their movement within Uzbekistan. It is also planned to integrate the system to systems of foreign states. The committee is also implementing a project on improving system of electronic declaration.
