Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13-14 December 2024, the 4th International Strategic Communication Forum (Stratcom Summit’24) will be held in Istanbul, organized by the Communications Directorate of the Presidency of Türkiye.
The forum, themed "AI in Communications: Trends, Pitfalls, and Transitions", will bring together leading communication professionals from around the world to discuss the transformations driven by artificial intelligence.
The forum will open with speeches by Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and the Head of the Communications Directorate, Fahrettin Altun. Participants will include Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, information and communication ministers, as well as heads of communication agencies from various countries.
Fahrettin Altun emphasized the significance of the event, stating:
"We are proud that Stratcom has become a global brand and a leading hub for dialogue. We all recognize that artificial intelligence, alongside other emerging technologies, offers revolutionary opportunities in the field of communications. However, this transition also entails significant risks that must be addressed. At Stratcom Summit’24, we will assess these opportunities and risks and discuss how to develop AI technologies to benefit humanity."
As Türkiye’s largest communication summit, Stratcom Summit’24 will focus on AI-driven transformations in communication. Discussions will include pressing topics such as public communication, new strategies, journalism, digital media, diplomacy, combating disinformation, crisis management, digital ethics, and cybersecurity.
The forum will also explore the use of AI in crisis communication, cybersecurity, journalism, as well as its influence on diplomacy and foreign policy.
The forum will host over 3,000 guests from 30 countries. The program features eight panels, four lectures, and six one-on-one sessions with leading global experts. Notable participants include Akif Çağatay Kılıç (Advisor to the President of Türkiye on Foreign Policy), Hikmet Hajiyev (Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan), Waleed Ammar Al-Lafi (Minister of Communications of Libya), and others.

Fahrettin Altun underscored the forum’s importance in fostering international cooperation, sharing knowledge, and developing solutions to adapt artificial intelligence for improving global communication practices.
