The square is located near consulate and guest house of Uzbekistan in Moscow.

Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said in line with the order of the President of Russia, it is offered to immortalize name of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. He said that the square is located new consulate of Uzbekistan.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian and Uzbek politicians, scholars and workers of the art proposed to name one of the squares after Islam Karimov.
