Specialists from textile companies and designers from Uzbekistan completed an internship in France

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Specialists from textile companies and designers of Uzbekistan took part in advanced training courses on the topic “Art communications in branding and creative industries”, held from 3 to 12 March in France, Dunyo news agency reported.

The internship was organized by the Uztekstilprom Association in order to develop new modern designs and collections of clothing, study changes in world fashion trends and their further implementation at the country’s textile enterprises. The partner on the French side was the European Institute of PR - “Institut Europeen des relations publiques – IEERP-Paris”, whose expert council includes many well-known specialists in international communications.

The internship was attended by 18 representatives of the textile industry of our country, including heads of textile enterprises, university professors, creators of their own fashion brands, representatives of the fashion industry and handicrafts of Uzbekistan.

As part of the internship, the French side conducted master classes, training seminars, round tables, meetings, as well as scientific and practical conferences with international experts.

The chosen topic for the internship of our country’s specialists in Paris, according to French experts, directly correlates with the tasks of international positioning of Uzbekistan through creative industries, which, according to the classification of the European Commission, include fashion and weaving art, based on cultural heritage and craft creativity.

This is directly related to the formation of regional brands - Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand, Fergana, and other regions of the country through their local manufacturers. Participants in the internship program worked in master classes with Sorbonne professors and doctors of science on the topics of creative brands, the use of marketing technologies, and tools for creating a legendary product.

Representatives of our country visited the design laboratory of the French Institute of Textiles and Fashion, visited the Franciscan Art Center in Deauville, a city in northern France, where the first Chanel boutique was opened, the territorial brand of which is formed through art communications, as well as museums “Espace Dreams LV”, “Dior”, “Yves Saint Laurent”, the study of collections and areas of work of which provides material for assessing brand communication tools.

Upon completion of the internship program, representatives of the textile industry of Uzbekistan were awarded diplomas from the IEERP-Paris Institute.

In an interview with a correspondent of Dunyo news agency, the organizers of the internship on the French side highly noted the professionalism and creative developments of Uzbek textile workers and designers.

International Director of the European Institute of International Management, head of programs for innovation in the field of tourism and hotel business, member of the IEERP-Paris Council Véronique Sourni:

- At the European Institute of PR in Paris, we provide training in communication techniques and practices, including in relation to luxury brands and leading brands. When training specialists from Uzbekistan, we focused on the textile sector. France has a rich heritage in the manufacture of silk and cotton products and is one of the world leaders in fashion textiles. In turn, it was also interesting and very useful for us to learn from our Uzbek colleagues about the development of the textile industry of Uzbekistan.

President-General Director of the Occurrence agency, professor at the Sorbonne, Sciences-Po Institute of Political Sciences, member of the IEERP-Paris council Assael Adari:

- It was a great honor for me to work these days with a group of designers and textile workers from Uzbekistan, to present and share French experience in the communication field. I believe that the creative industry is a good mediator for the development of contacts, cultural and economic exchanges between peoples of different countries. I hope that this internship of Uzbek design specialists in Paris will become the prologue to new mutually beneficial projects in the future.

Advisor on gender equality and design development of the Uztekstilprom Association Kamola Gulyamova:

- These days, the first group staffed by the Uztekstilprom Association completed an internship in Paris in art communications on branding. The European PR Institute offered us an interesting program, which included lectures and seminars on topics such as why it is necessary to develop a brand, how to find growth points, and achieve added value. Of course, this can be learned theoretically, using special literature, but it’s another matter to learn it on the spot, in practice. I think it was doubly interesting and productive. We plan to continue the project.
