The girls, who dream to compete in regional and international football tournaments, believe only trainings can make their dreams come true.
Their training at the picturesque camp was also a double-joy as they had a chance to meet with top national athletes and sportsmen with disability who were at hand to provide them moral boost to achieve higher sporting goals.
The SOU is the AFC’s implementing partner in Dream Asia, an initiative that reaches out and empowers Asian communities using the power of football as an agent of change.
The girls had also taken part in a football tournament for special girls on May 3-6 at the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.
The event was organised by the SOU with support from the Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF), Ministry of Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan, Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan and Social Initiatives Support Fund Uzbekistan.
The basic purpose of the event was to promote the participation of girls with intellectual disabilities in football competitions, attract the attention of the public to the problems faced by girls with intellectual disabilities, their social rehabilitation and adaptation in society.
