Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 May 2025, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, held talks with Sofia Oestmark, Director of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Sweden.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including engagement in the field of migration and regional issues.

Particular attention was given to exchanging views on the situation in Afghanistan and exploring possible formats for humanitarian cooperation.

The talks were held in a constructive atmosphere and reaffirmed the mutual interest in further developing a practical dialogue.
