Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acting Special Coordinator for the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI) Helaina Matza will visit Uzbekistan.

According to the U.S. Department of State, Helaina Matza’s visit to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will take place from 14 to 19 July.

The purpose of the visit is to promote ongoing U.S.-led efforts to attract investments in the strategic infrastructure of the Trans-Caspian Corridor.

The State Department notes that PGI is expanding its approach to the global economic corridor and is seeking quality, sustainable infrastructure opportunities in Central Asia as part of commitments announced by President Biden at the C5+1 summit in September 2023. These commitments aim to explore opportunities to support the Trans-Caspian Corridor.

During her stay in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Helaina Matza will meet with officials and private sector partners to discuss potential infrastructure projects and funding opportunities.
