Spanish ceramics manufacturers are interested in relocating production to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Spanish ceramics company AZTECA Cerámica has expressed interest in relocating production to Uzbekistan.

This issue was considered during online negotiations between the director of the Spanish company for the production of ceramic plates AZTECA Cerámica Francisco Carvajal, the head of the promotional and consulting company Gedepsa Alejandro Pastrana and the director of the Uzbek-Spanish Trade and Investment House in Valencia Ildar Sharafutdinov and the chairman of the Council for the Development of the Construction Industry materials, the chairman of the board of Uzpromstroybank Sakhi Annaklichev, the deputy chairman of the Association "Uzpromstroymaterialy" Bakhtiyor Bobokulov and the deputy khokim of the Tashkent region Nazhmiddinkhuzha Sharipov, Dunyo news agency reports.

The Uzbek side reported on the existing potential of this sector of the economy for the production of industrial building materials in Uzbekistan.

The head of AZTECA Cerámica, Francisco Carvajal, noted that due to the difficult economic situation in the world, in particular, the multiple increase in energy prices, as well as problems in the supply of kaolin from Ukraine, Spanish manufacturers of ceramics, the cost of which is 30% dependent on energy prices, are considering the possibility of transferring production capacities in other countries with the availability of raw materials and reasonable energy prices, and his company is studying the feasibility of relocating production to Uzbekistan.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties reached preliminary agreements on the joint implementation of investment projects, as well as the study of the organization of mutual visits in the near future.
