Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The largest bank in Spain, Santander, plans to finance projects in Uzbekistan.
According to the Dunyo agency, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Madrid with the regional manager of the largest bank in Spain, Santander, David Plaza.
The bank, one of the five largest banks in Europe and a leader in terms of assets in the world, is considering the possibility of financing projects in the country, David Plaza said.
According to the report, Santander expressed its readiness to allocate loan funds in the amount of US$500 million to finance promising investment projects in Uzbekistan under the support of Export Credit Agencies (ECAs).
