Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek Space Agency, Uzbekcosmos, has reached a cooperation agreement with the American company SpaceX. This was announced by the agency’s press service.
The agreement was made during the 75th International Astronautical Congress held in Milan from October 14 to 18. SpaceX and British company Surrey Satellite Technology expressed their readiness to provide expert consultations for the development of Uzbekistan’s national space program.
During the congress, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Japanese company Ispace, which specializes in lunar exploration using robotic spacecraft and advanced technologies.
Additionally, Uzbekcosmos has coordinated a training program for specialists in aerospace engineering with Kyushu Institute of Technology.
Furthermore, the agency discussed recommendations and proposals with the Azerbaijan Space Agency aimed at creating a national Earth remote sensing system for Uzbekistan.
