Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 July 2025, Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with representatives of South Korean company DK Consulting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed DK Consulting’s plans to construct a modern pharmaceutical production facility in Uzbekistan.

Company representatives expressed their intention to carry out architectural, design, and construction works in phases, and announced plans to begin construction before the end of the current year.

In response, the Director of the Agency confirmed the government’s readiness to provide the necessary support for interagency coordination of the project, as well as to ensure full compliance of construction and production processes with national and international standards, including GMP and EU-GMP.

It was noted that the project is currently progressing according to the approved schedule, with no delays reported.
