The dainty-looking singer definitely has the “it” factor. By the end of the concert virtually everyone could be seen standing. The audience felt compelled to move closer to the stage and started singing along and dancing to Ellis-Bextor’s groovy hits.
While performing on stage Elis-Bextor, the former lead singer of ‘Theaudience’ and now a chart-topping diva, encouraged the crowd to turn into part of her show and welcomed manifestation of any emotion: singing along, raising hands and particularly dancing.
The singer, who describes her music as “sophisticated pop”, clearly hit it big with the Tashkent audience as she ended up performing encore. The concert by the Queen of Sophisticated Pop has come as another colorful and memorable event as part of this year’s Style.Uz Art Week, which has a lot more to offer in store.
