Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, in January-April 2024, 6,400 foreign citizens entered the Republic of Uzbekistan to study.

Compared to the corresponding period of last year, their number increased by 2.4 thousand people or by 59.8%.

The number of foreign citizens who entered the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-April of the current year for the purpose of studying by country:

India - 2,090 people;

Turkmenistan - 1,627 people;

Tajikistan - 758 people;

Kyrgyz Republic - 317 people;

South Korea - 249 people;

China - 242 people;

Pakistan - 237 people;

Afghanistan - 132 people;

USA - 118 people;

Kazakhstan - 102 people;

Other countries - 535 people.
