Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 March, the Kengash of People’s Deputies of the Tashkent region decided to transfer 19,729.41 hectares of land from the capital region to Tashkent.

According to the decision, Tashkent will receive 17,323.31 hectares from Yukorichirchik district and 2,406.1 hectares from Urtachirchik district.

A new district of Tashkent will be created on this territory.

Previously, it was announced about the creation of the 13th district in Tashkent, which will occupy an area of 20,000 hectares.
