Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chirchik Technopark in Uzbekistan, created in collaboration with the Tatarstan technopolis Khimgrad, is significantly expanding its activities, TASS reported.

According to the general director of Khimgrad, Airat Gizzatullin, 14 new ones will be added to the seven already operating production facilities in the first half of 2024.

Currently, more than 20 residents are registered in Chirchik.

According to him, about 30% of the products produced in the technology park in 2023 were exported, which has a significant impact on the economy of the region.

In another Uzbek technology park, Jizzakh, also developed with the participation of Khimgrad, three production facilities are currently operating.

Gizzatullin expressed hope for the speedy signing of residency agreements with three more enterprises specializing in the chemical industry, polymer processing, production of chemicals for the textile industry and packaging.
