Sodik Safayev participates in Antalya Diplomatic Forum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 11 to 13 April 2025, the Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2025, a prestigious international event recognized as one of the key gatherings on the global diplomatic stage, was held in Antalya, Türkiye.
The forum, organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, traditionally brought together leading politicians, diplomats, and experts from around the world.
Sodik Safayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in the forum. This year, the event was held under the slogan "Returning Diplomacy to a Fragmented World," emphasizing the relevance of dialogue in the face of contemporary geopolitical challenges.
Sodik Safayev spoke at key sessions, where he elaborated on Uzbekistan's foreign policy principles, which are based on openness, pragmatism, and constructive cooperation. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of strengthening trust in international institutions, promoting sustainable development through diplomatic mechanisms, and expanding regional and global cooperation.
During the forum, the Uzbek delegation held several bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations, representatives of international organizations, and experts. The discussions focused on prospects for political and economic partnership, youth diplomacy, environmental stability, as well as measures to combat disinformation and strengthen mutual trust.
The Antalya Diplomatic Forum reaffirmed its role as one of the leading platforms for developing solutions in the interests of global security and sustainable development.
Uzbekistan's active participation in the event again demonstrated the country's commitment to multilateral diplomacy aimed at strengthening stability and cooperation in the region and globally.
