Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers introduced changes and additions to some Government decisions in connection with ensuring the rights of the population to receive social protection and improving the system for providing state social assistance and services, Norm reported.

Additions and changes to some resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers are aimed at improving the provision of state social assistance and services by Inson social service centers and social workers.

The changes stipulate that before submitting to the executive authorities a state order for the creation of jobs by district (city) departments for poverty reduction and employment promotion, these orders must be agreed upon with the Inson social service centers.

In addition, according to the decision of the heads of the Inson social service centers, persons in need of social protection who do not have a fixed place of residence are subject to registration at the place of residence for a period of up to six months in institutions that have a housing stock under the National Social Protection Agency.

Social workers check the conditions of care for a disabled person of group I or a disabled child under the age of 18, as well as for elderly people over 80 years of age who, according to the conclusion of a medical institution, need outside care.

Changes and additions are made to:

Regulations on the procedure for establishing and reserving a minimum number of jobs for the employment of persons in need of social protection and experiencing difficulties in finding work and unable to compete on equal terms in the labor market;

Regulations on centers of internal affairs bodies for the rehabilitation of persons without a fixed place of residence;

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further simplify the procedure for registering citizens at the place of permanent residence and temporary stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, etc.
