Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The President signed Decree “On introducing amendments and additions to some acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with strengthening social protection of family members of military personnel and employees who died in the name of defense Motherland and peaceful life of the people."

In accordance with the changes, family members of military personnel and employees of the following ministries and departments who died in the name of defending the Motherland and the peaceful life of the people will be provided with medical care at the expense of the State Budget:

Ministry of Defense;

Ministry of Internal Affairs;

Ministry of Emergency Situations;

State Security Service;

State Security Service of the President;

Customs Committee;

Center for the Development of Electronic Technologies.

A person who died in the name of defending the Motherland and the peaceful life of the people means a serviceman (employee) who died as a result of a wound, concussion or injury received during mobilization during a state of emergency (state of war) declared by the President, as well as during combat (military ) actions.

In the event of the death of a serviceman (employee) while on duty, members of his family are assigned a benefit in the amount of 100 times the amount of the official salary for the main position held (scholarship for a cadet, student at a military university) and the salary for the military (special) rank of the deceased.

In the event of the death of a serviceman (employee) after 1 April 2023, in the name of protecting the Motherland and the peaceful life of the people, members of his family are assigned a benefit in the amount of 150 times the amount of the position and salary of the deceased.

If family members have the right to receive both benefits, they are assigned only one - a higher amount.
