Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 December, snow and occasionally heavy precipitation, as well as fog with visibility deteriorating to 50 m, are expected on the section of the A-373 Tashkent-Osh highway passing through the Kamchik pass, Uzhydromet said in a statement.

Due to wind increases of up to 15-20 m/s, snow drifts and icy conditions are also possible on the road.

Due to the expected precipitation and a sharp change in air temperature from 25 to 29 December, an avalanche danger has been declared in the mountainous regions of the republic, including the Akhangaran, Bostanlyk and Parkent districts of the Tashkent region (Chatkal mountain system) and the Pap district of the Namangan region.

Citizens living in mountainous areas, as well as vacationers and drivers traveling to these areas, are asked to take precautions.
