This was announced at the business forum “Entrepreneurship – ground for firm family”, which was organized in connection with announcement of 2012 as the Year of Family in Uzbekistan. The event was initiated by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and Tashkent region’s administration.

During the meeting it was said that Tashkent region carried out huge work on creating stable and favourable business environment.

It was noted that the small and private businesses in the region received 293.6 billion soums of loans in 2011, which grew 1.5 times year-on-year.

Share of small and private businesses in gross regional product of Tashkent region made up 56.7% and some 20,812 jobs were created in the region.

It was said that it is planned to continue to finance projects of business women, graduates of colleges and youth. In 2011, some 21.9 billion and 2.8 billion soums were issued to these purposes respectively.

Within the Forum, the banks issued loans for 26.1 billion soums to some 50 projects, which were named as the winners of competition “The Best Project”.
