The Senate Council adopted decision on convocation of the sixth plenary session on 12 August 2011.
Senators will consider several laws directed at gradual reforming and liberalizing political and social-economic life, democratic modernization and formation of civil society in Uzbekistan.
Among them are law “On exchange of credit information”, law “On introduction of changes and amendments to law “On bankruptcy”, law “On introduction of changes and amendments to law “On licensing some type of activities”, law “On limiting distribution and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products” and others.
Senate will also consider several international agreements, including law “On ratification of agreement between Uzbekistan and Qatar on development of bilateral relations (Doha, 24 November 2010)”, law “On ratification of the eighth additional protocol to the Constitution of Universal Postal Union (Geneva, 12 August 2008)” , as well as law “On ratification of agreement among Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on creation of Central Asian regional information-coordination center on fighting illegal drug turnover, psychotropic means and precursors (Astana, 24 July 2006)”.
At the same time, Senators are planning to consider report of the chairperson of the Central Bank on its activity in 2010 and introduce changes to Supreme Court and Supreme Economic Court.
