Six Uzbek boxers reach quarterfinals in Milan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The team of Uzbekistan, along with Russia and Cuba, entered the list of the three strongest teams by the number of athletes that reached quarterfinals at the world boxing championship in Milan, Italy.

Six Uzbek boxers are continuing fight for the prize places. Three athletes joined Tulashboy Doniyorov, Elshod Rasulov and Botirjon Mahmudov, who passed quarterfinals, UzA reported.

Abbos Atoyev won over Brazil’s Yamaguchi Flotentino with 8:3. Before half final, Atoyev will fight with Constantine Buga from Germany.

Bahodir Sultonov defeated Polish Chudecki Michak in 1/8 final with a score of 15:6. In the next round, Sultonov will meet Kerem Gurgen from Turkey.

Ramzjon Ahmedov won over Joseph Darmos from Hungary with 13:10. In case he defeats Jean M’Bumba in the next round, he may get bronze medal.
