Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A road accident occurred in Navoi region, which resulted in the death of six people. Five of them were members of the same family.

According to the Department of Internal Affairs of Navoi region, the incident occurred on 9 June at about 15:00 on the Navbahor-Nurota road.

The driver of a Chevrolet Lacetti, trying to overtake a Damas moving in front, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with an Onix car.

As a result of the accident, five family members who were in the Onix car died: a 36-year-old man, his mother, his wife, a two-year-old son and a two-month-old daughter. The driver of the Lacetti was also killed.

Law enforcement agencies are conducting a pre-investigation investigation into this incident.
