Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a fire with human casualties occurred on 29 July in Ferghana. A karaoke cafe caught fire on the first floor of a 4-storey building on Sayilgokh Street.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that information about the fire was received at 11:39. The fire was extinguished by 6 fire and rescue teams, which arrived at the scene at 11:44. At 11:48 the fire was localized, and at 11:56 it was completely extinguished.
“As a result of the fire, six people died, seven people were hospitalized with bodily injuries of varying degrees,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
By order of the president, a government commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister A. Ramatov was formed, which went to the Ferghana region to investigate the incident and provide assistance to the victims.
