AFC is currently on a major drive to encourage MAs across the region to change their constitutions, if necessary, to bring them in line with FIFA Standard Statutes and promote healthy democracy.
The first team to meet with AFC’s legal divisions is from Vietnam, who arrive today (Tuesday). They are followed by Malaysia, Guam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The intensity of each meeting depends on the work required on the statutes. One of the conditions for acceptance into AFC’s revamped AFC Champions League tournament is that each MA modernise their statutes.
