Six boxers from Uzbekistan reach semifinal of World Championships
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Six boxers from Uzbekistan reached the semi-finals of the World Championships in Hamburg (Germany) and secured bronze medals of the tournament.

In the weight category up to 49 kg, Hasanboy Dusmatov defeated Amit Pangal from India and reached the semifinals of the tournament.

In the quarterfinals in weight category up to 52 kg Jasurbek Latipov defeated Colombian Seyber Avila and made his way to the semifinals of the world championships.

Ikboljon Kholdorov advanced to the semifinals, defeating Artyom Harutyunyan from Germany in the weight category up to 64 kg.

Shahram Giyosov defeated Pat McCormack from the UK in weight category up to 69 kg in the quarterfinals and will continue to fight for gold medal of the World Championships.

In the weight category up to 91 kg, Sanjar Tursunov defeated Roy Korving from the Netherlands in the quarterfinals and secured a minimum bronze medal of the World Championship.

Bektemir Melikuziev defeated Erik Aljanov from Kazakhstan in the quarterfinal bout in the weight category up to 81 kg.

Unfortunately, Isroil Madimov (75 kg), Elnur Abduraimov (up to 60 kg) and Bakhodir Jalilov (above 91 kg) completed their performances at the quarterfinal stage of the World Championships.
