SIUT is recognized as the second in the list of the most popular universities in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Samarkand International Technological University (SIUT) took second place in the National Database of Scientific Research of Universities of Uzbekistan according to Scienceweb. At the same time, SIUT is one of the youngest universities in the country, which will turn 2 years old in February.

One of the main differences between SIUT and other universities is the introduction of the most advanced international engineering educational standards into the curriculum, the involvement of more than 30 experienced professors from 16 countries in the educational process, mobility, flexibility and prompt adaptation of training courses to the requirements of the real sector of the economy.

At the end of 2023, SIUT took second place in the national database of scientific research of universities in Uzbekistan according to Scienceweb (Scienceweb.uz). The selection criteria are the overall average H-INDEX of scientists working in universities and research centers, and the number of citations to their research published in scientific journals indexed in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar.

It is noteworthy that among the top 2% of the most cited scientists in the world in 2023, according to Stanford University (USA), published in October last year, SIUT mathematics professor Mohammed Kaabar was named.

In 2023, SIUT accepted the first 200 students in such leading engineering areas as mining, geology, petroleum, chemical engineering, and information technology.

It is important to note that 67 of the most gifted students, as well as those in need of social protection, received personal grants from the Chairman of the SIUT Board of Trustees, Bakhtiyor Fazylov.

The young university is expanding its capabilities, in particular, in the near future SIUT is going to move to a new campus equipped with laboratories that meet international standards. This will create even more conditions for students and teachers, and will give future specialists the opportunity to work exclusively with modern equipment, which will significantly expand their knowledge and skills in engineering.
