Since 2020, the Central Bank has sold 13.13 thousand measured gold bars

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan for the first time published information on sales of gold bars and commemorative coins made of precious metals.

In 2021-2023, the Central Bank issued five series of coins. The total circulation of gold coins was 3,550 pieces with a weight of 72 kg and silver coins - 3,900 pieces with a weight of 121 kg.

The population of Uzbekistan purchased 2,951 gold coins weighing 61.4 kg and 3,864 silver coins weighing 120.17 kg.

At the same time, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan has sold 13,130 measured gold bars with a total weight of 255 kg since 2020.

Information about measured gold bars purchased by the population through sales points:

5 grams - 3793 units, total weight 18.96 kg;

10 grams - 3854 units, 38.5 kg;

20 grams - 2545 units, about 51 kg;

50 grams - 2938 units, 147 kg.

Sales of commemorative coins to the public began in 2018. Sales of gold bars started in 2020.
