Silk Road exhibition held in Berlin
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens and guests of Germany can travel to Great Silk Road, visiting largest trade center in Berlin – Wilmersdorfer Arcaden.

The exhibition titled “Traveling Great Silk Road” familiarizes with history, culture, art and traditions of the cities of Uzbekistan. The exhibition was initiated by Berlin office of Fund Forum at support of Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, Сultur Cooperation International and Wilmersdorfer Arcaden. The exhibition is taking place from 26 May to 4 June and attracts thousands of people every day.

Virtual tour starts with familiarization with the Great Silk Road map, which separately marks Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva cities. After that, each visitor can get acquainted with each cities at the expositions, which shows art blocks and provided information on history of the Uzbek cities, culture and tourism.

Director-general of Wilmersdorfer Arcaden Peter Schönbrunn said the visitors of the center are familiarizing with the exhibition with great interest. The visitors like feeling of travel to Silk Road and some of them even want to buy exhibits. “We are happy that we were able to realize such project in cooperation with Fund Forum and Embassy of Uzbekistan in Berlin,” he added.

The exhibition presents over 100 works of fine and applied arts, including suzane, miniatures, textile, embossed goods, national costumes, paintings, musical instruments, etc. In one word, the exhibition presented all diversity of cultural heritage and modern art.
