Silk Avia to create its own training center

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the sidelines of the Paris-Le Bourget International Aviation and Space Salon, the first regional airline of Uzbekistan Silk Avia and the ATR concern reached agreements on a number of issues. In particular, the companies began to study the issue of creating a training center and organizing linear and basic maintenance of ATR aircraft in Uzbekistan.

According to Uzbekistan Airports, the parties agreed to replenish the Silk Avia fleet with three more ATR72-600s and two smaller aircraft (up to 50 passengers) ATR42-600s.

In addition, within the framework of the Paris Air Show, the airline signed an agreement with the leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital (Ireland) for the operational leasing of two ATR72-600 aircraft. The aircraft will arrive in Tashkent from the ATR plant in Toulouse (France) in October and November 2023.

It should be recalled that Silk Avia launched regular flights to the cities of Uzbekistan on April 25 and transported about 12,000 passengers in the first month. Currently, the airline operates three ATR72-600 aircraft.
