Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Sherzod Khodjaev said that citizens of Uzbekistan will not have problems with electricity during the New Year holidays.

“During the holidays, in particular, on the New Year, the demand for electricity is noticeably reduced due to the fact that schools, kindergartens and higher educational institutions do not work, most enterprises suspend their activities and the bulk of the generated electricity is sent to the population and objects of some social spheres. I think that this year there will be no problems in providing electricity for the New Year holiday,” Sherzod Khodjaev noted.

According to the Deputy Minister of Energy, round-the-clock duty teams have been created throughout the country, which have sufficient material reserves and the ability to quickly eliminate local accidents or interruptions in the energy supply system if they occur.
