Sherzod Asadov responds to reports on Presidential Administration staff reduction
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan has addressed circulating reports on social media regarding a supposed 50% reduction in staff within the President’s Administration and other government agencies.
Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov emphasized that staff optimization is an ongoing process at all levels of government, from the Presidential Administration to lower-level institutions.
According to Asadov, the key objectives of the optimization effort include eliminating redundant functions, increasing the efficiency of public administration, improving the performance of civil servants, and ensuring the rational use of budgetary resources.
He noted that the scale and scope of the process will only be determined after comprehensive research and analysis.
In this regard, the press secretary urged media outlets, bloggers, and social media users to rely only on official sources when reporting on the matter.
