Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 16 June, Mayor of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov met with representatives of China Gezhouba Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd, headed by Chairman Lin Xiaodan.

Thanking the guests for the visit, Shavkat Umurzakov said that a favorable investment environment had been created in Tashkent, that the capital was rapidly developing in the field of tourism, business, utilities, energy, industry, etc. He expressed confidence that this meeting could lay the foundation for mutually beneficial and useful cooperation.

Speaking in detail about the company he heads, Lin Xiaodan said that it is successfully implementing more than 200 projects in more than 140 countries of the world, in particular, a cement plant is being built in the Samarkand region of our country, and it is expected that it will become the largest enterprise in Central Asia.

China Gezhouba Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd has a wide range of activities, and in particular, is interested in participating in projects aimed at the construction and launch of underground utilities, improving hot and cold water supply, and electricity supply.

Umurzakov expressed gratitude for the proposals and gave information about the projects that are planned to be implemented in our capital. In particular, he said that there are prospects for work in a number of areas, such as the installation of alternative energy sources, cogeneration of heat and electricity. He also said that the khokimiyat is ready to provide comprehensive assistance if a Chinese company is interested in these projects.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and consider areas of practical cooperation.
