Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Malaysia on 4–5 February at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

During his stay in Kuala Lumpur, the Uzbek leader will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, meet with executives of leading Malaysian companies, participate in a joint business forum, and attend other key events.

The agenda focuses on deepening Uzbekistan-Malaysia cooperation and expanding practical collaboration in trade, investment, innovation, technology, petrochemicals, electronics, renewable energy, smart agriculture, and tourism. Special emphasis will be placed on enhancing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The two leaders will also discuss pressing international issues and regional cooperation. Following the summit, a Joint Statement and a series of agreements aimed at strengthening the comprehensive partnership are expected to be signed.

It is worth noting that in the lead-up to the visit, several key events have already taken place in Malaysia. These include meetings between expert and analytical centers, as well as upcoming presentations on Uzbekistan’s tourism and cultural potential, a forum of rectors from leading universities of both countries, and other significant initiatives.
