Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the events of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) taking place in Samarkand, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, Lan Fo’an.

The Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.

During the meeting, discussions focused on further deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as expanding multifaceted cooperation in light of the agreements reached at the highest levels.

Particular attention was given to strengthening ties with leading financial institutions in China and supporting key investment projects.
