Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Every educated young man is a defender of the Motherland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a chess school and library in Markhamat district of Andijan region.

The chess school in Uzbekistan is one of the most exemplary. Today, there is great interest in “mental gymnastics” among children. This complex was built in Markhamat district to support and develop this hobby. Children learn chess in their free time at the school named after Erkin Vokhidov. Experienced trainers have been hired to improve their skills. There are training facilities and a competition hall. Young people like the digitalized learning process.

The Head of state supported the aspirations of boys and girls studying here and wished them success. He emphasized the importance of interaction between this school and other chess schools and the exchange of experience between them.

A Youth Library was built next to the school. It is spacious and cozy and can accommodate more than 150 readers simultaneously. The library has over 30 thousand copies of literature and is connected to several information centers. Therefore, it has become a favorite place for young people where intellectual games, creative meetings, and book presentations are held.

The President also spoke with Andijan youth.

“We strive to develop our economy, increase per capita income, and create jobs. We also have big plans in Andijan. For this, we rely primarily on you. Every educated young man is a defender of the Motherland”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Innovations in the educational system, the conditions created for the younger generation, and scientific and public projects were considered. The President discussed new initiatives with young people, supported their proposals, and gave instructions to responsible officials.
