Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates the people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of the country on the occasion of the holy holiday of Eid al-Adha.

In his address, he noted the importance of this holiday, which symbolizes mercy, generosity and humanism, and emphasized its significance in the life of the new Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev noted that the Eid al-Adha enhances the atmosphere of peace, friendship and cohesion in mahallas and families, promotes care for the older generation, youth and women, as well as support for low-income families. He expressed gratitude to the Almighty for the opportunity to celebrate this day in peace and harmony with the people.

The President particularly emphasized the successes of recent years in reviving spiritual values and creating conditions for the free exercise of religious rites, such as Hajj and Umrah. International scientific centers dedicated to Imam Bukhari, Imam Termezi and Imam Maturidi were organized in the country, as well as memorial complexes were transformed and majestic mosques were built.

Over the past seven years, more than 60 thousand Muslims from Uzbekistan have completed the Hajj, and this year another 15 thousand compatriots are making pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. The President wished them successful completion of the rituals and a safe return to their homeland.

Mirziyoyev also conveyed congratulations and best wishes for health, happiness and success to compatriots abroad, as well as to Muslim believers in other countries. He expressed hope for an end to wars and conflicts and the establishment of peace on Earth.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that New Uzbekistan is a new life, development and a happy future. He called on everyone to be united and determined to continue the reforms that had been started, which would lead to the achievement of the great goal - building a prosperous Uzbekistan.

“We will definitely raise our children to be a highly educated generation of true patriots, possessing modern knowledge and professions,” the head of state noted.

At the end of the address, Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished everyone health, peace and prosperity, and once again congratulated everyone on the holy holiday of Eid al-Adha.
