Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree awarding athletes and coaches of the country’s Paralympic team, according to the President’s press service.
Paralympic champions Tolibboy Yuldashev, Nurkhon Kurbanova, Kudratillo Marufkhuzhayev, Asila Mirzayeva, Yorkinbek Odilov, Elbek Sultunov, and Asadbek Toshtemirov have been honored with the title of “Uzbekistan Pride.”
Three-time Paralympic champion Khusnidin Norbekov has been awarded the “For Selfless Service” Order.
Other awardees include three-time Paralympic medalist Safiya Burkhanova and silver medalist Ruza Kuzieva, who received the “Labor Glory” Order.
The “Friendship” Orders were given to the Paralympic athletes’ coaches and the General Secretary of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Farrukh Akhmedov.
Additionally, members of the Paralympic team, doctors, and coaches were awarded the “Valor” and “Glory” Medals.
