Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed a resolution approving an international agreement between Uzbekistan and Oman.

According to the document, the head of state has approved an agreement on a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports between Uzbekistan and Oman.

This agreement was signed on 26 June 2024, in Muscat during the visit of Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov to Oman.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has been tasked with informing the Omani side about the completion of all necessary domestic procedures for the agreement to come into effect and notifying them of the appointment of the competent authority responsible for implementing the agreement.

Once the agreement enters into force, the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant authorities will monitor its implementation in accordance with established requirements.
