Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the evening of 2 April, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held an informal meeting with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.

Antonio Costa arrived in Uzbekistan earlier that day and visited Bukhara, where he explored the country's cultural and historical heritage.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on pressing issues of bilateral and regional cooperation and discussed in detail preparations for the upcoming first "Central Asia – European Union" summit.
