Sharifa Davronova Wins Final Gold Medal for Uzbekistan at the 2025 Summer Universiade in Rhine-Ruhr
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has concluded its participation in the 2025 FISU World Summer Universiade, held in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.
On the final day of competition, track and field athlete Sharifa Davronova delivered a golden finish for the national team, according to the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Competing in the triple jump, Davronova achieved a mark of 14.33 meters — the best result of her career — which confidently secured her the top spot on the podium.
In total, the Uzbek delegation earned 15 medals at the Universiade: 4 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze. This marks Uzbekistan’s best-ever performance in the history of its participation in the event.
