Share of goods production in GDP makes up 43.2% in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-December 2010, the volume of gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan made up 61.831 trillion soums, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said the tendency of stable growth of the GDP real volume was retained in the reporting period, and its growth was 8.5% versus 8.1% in January- December 2009.

The dynamics of economic growth in Uzbekistan over the past 10 years shows that compared with 2000 the gross domestic product increased almost 2 times, and per capita - 1,7 times.

Significant changes are also observed in the dynamics of the sectoral structure of GDP. Thus, if in 2000 the share of industry in GDP was only 14.2%, in 2010 the figure was 23,9%.

The share of the non-state sector made up 81.7% in 2010 (81.3% in 2009) and the state sector – 18.3% (18.7% in 2009).

The share of small business in the total volume of GDP was 52.5%, which is 2.4 percentage points higher than in the corresponding period of 2009. The share of small enterprises and microfirms was 32.7% in January-December 2010 versus 31.2% in January-December 2009.

The significant growth of the real volume of gross regional product was observed in Samarkand region (13.6%), Namangan region (12.4%), Surkhandarya region (11.2%), Andizhan region (10.5%), and Tashkent city (12.4%).

Goods production in the structure of GDP made up 43.2% in 2010 compared to 44.4% in 2010 and services – 49% in 2010 versus 47.2% in 2009. Share of net taxes on products and export-import operations in GDP decreased from 8.4% in 2009 to 7.8% in 2010.
