Cherepovets Steel Mill received approval for supply of metal-roll for this car model and started to deliver products to GM Uzbekistan. The metal will be used for stamping both front and non-front details of automobiles, as well as wheels. Cherepovets Steel Mill has mastered production of new marks of cold-rolled and hot-galvanized metal-roll.

Severtal said it holds largest share in metal-roll supply to GM Uzbekistan, which makes up over 70%.

Director on marketing and sales division Severtal Russian Steel Dmitrt Goroshkov said that the company hols leading position on supply to foreign carmakers, which localized their production in Russia and CIS. He said that the company was selected as supplier of metal to Chevrolet Cobalt due to high quality of metal roll and large assortment of steel, as well as unique services.
