Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev criticized the six khokims of Tashkent for not putting up land plots for auctions during the year.
It was emphasized that the sale of land at auctions is an important source of budget revenues in Uzbekistan.
Last year, revenues amounted to 1 trillion soums, 12 thousand new projects were added.
At the same time, last year a significant amount of income was lost, reaching 3 trillion soums, due to the slowness in resolving this issue on the ground.
The khokims of Balykchi and Jalakuduk districts of Andijan region, Bektemir, Mirabad, Almazar, Chilanzar, Yunusabad and Yakkasaray districts of Tashkent did not put up land for auction during the year.
The head of Uzbekistan instructed the Prime Minister to decide whether they are worthy of their positions.
