Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 March 2025, a tragic incident occurred in a private residence in the village of Baskuduk, Munailinsky district, Mangystau region, where an entire family suffered from gas poisoning.

Emergency responders and medical teams arriving at the scene found seven victims, including five minors. Unfortunately, all were pronounced dead on-site.

According to preliminary findings by the Mangystau Region Department of Emergency Situations, the tragedy was caused by improper use of gas equipment. Authorities confirmed that the deceased were Uzbek citizens.

A special commission, led by the First Deputy Akim of Mangystau Region, Yerbol Izbergenov, has been formed to investigate the incident. The victims’ relatives will receive comprehensive support, including assistance with funeral arrangements.

The situation is under the personal supervision of the Akim of Mangystau Region.
