Seven private banks work in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Currently, seven private banks and 71 non-banking organizations, including 27 microcredit organizations and 44 pawnshops, as well as tens of leasing companies, are operating in the financial services market, according to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

Currently, private commercial banks have total capital of 378.7 billion soums, while the assets made up 2.389 trillion soums.

Total volume of the deposits at these banks is equal to 1.583 trillion soums and they directed 932.8 billion soums as credits and investments to finance projects of small and private businesses.

The banks have 129 branches and mini-banks in all regions of Uzbekistan.
