Seven international credit bureaus express interest in cooperation with CIAC
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Seven international credit bureaus expressed the interest in strategic partnership with the Credit Information and Analytical Center (CIAC) under the Uzbekistan Banking Association.

Creditinfo Solutions (Iceland), CRIF (Italy), InfocreditHoldings (Singapore), Compuscan (South Africa), SIVECO (Romania), FairIsaacServicesLimited (UK) and NICE (Korea) expressed their readiness to cooperate with the CIAC.

On 14-15 June 2016, these organizations demonstrated their presentations to the members of the Bidding Commission for selection of the strategic partner and discussed the main elements of the expected bidding in order to attain greater mutual understanding between CIAC and potential partners.

Conducting these presentations and pre-bidding sharing of opinions is a universally accepted practice in conducting international bidding to select the strategic partner of the credit bureau. This enables the Bidding Commission to more thoroughly set the bidding requirements to the bidders and the criteria for assessment of bids.

According to the Paragraph 12 of the Annex 2 to the Decree 4455 on Measures for Further Radical Improvement of the Business Environment and Granting More Freedoms to the Entrepreneurship of the President of Uzbekistan dated 18.07.2012, CIAC needs to enhance the effectiveness of its activities by “engaging strategic technical partner from the ranks of the leading international credit bureaus through the bidding process and with technical support of International Finance Corporation.

This initiative is a part of the Financial Infrastructure Project in Uzbekistan implemented in the framework of the World Bank Group–IFC Finance & Markets Global Practice. The project is financed by the Government of Switzerland.
