Sergey Bubka pays visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Member of Executive Committee of International Olympic Committee, Vice-President of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), and National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergey Bubka paid a visit to Uzbekistan.
Vice-President of the Asian Association of Athletics Federations Aleksey Kondrat accompanied Bubka during his visit to Uzbekistan.
First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport Affairs Murad Aliev and Security-General of National Olympic Committee Oybek Qosimov held negotiations with the guests at the building of Uzbekistan NOC.
Sergey Bubka familiarized himself with new building of Uzbekistan NOC and Republican scientific-practical center for sport medicine. He also visited the Olympic Glory Museum.
At the discussions, the sides discussed issues of hosting international athletics tournaments in Uzbekistan.
The sides signed a memorandum of cooperation. Within the document, the sides agreed to exchange experience and knowledge in development of sports.
Sport federation of Uzbekistan and Ukraine will also jointly train athletes and improve skills of coaches.
