The law was approved at the Eighth session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, which kicked off in Tashkent on 23 March 2012.
The document was developed to implement presidential resolution “On measures on implementation of clauses of the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement for Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (Hague, 5 October 1961)” from 5 July 2011.
Senators underlined that adoption of the law will significantly simplify order of certifying originality of foreign official documents.
Apostille will replace legalization procedure of official documents, created in one country and transferred to another state.
